The first 30 min. of todays UHORT vil focus on Hugh Hopper, you will hear music from the late sixties and the seventies. Next Sunday I will focus on more recent recordings.

Legendary Soft Machine bass player Hugh Hopper has Lukaemia which is responding well to treatment but will require long period of convalescence and musical inactivity. His friends and admirers are staging a concert to raise funds for this difficult period.

HUGH HOPPER BENEFIT CONCERT

The Benefit Concert at the well known London’s 100 Club will be held on December 14th, an idea generated by his colleagues in Soft Machine Legacy, and made possible thanks to John Etheridge and The 100 Club. The entire profit will go to Hugh Hopper.
